ABOUT US
IN 1982, JACK FISHER, our founder, started Western Ohio Woodworking Club. It was
to get individuals together who had an interest in woodworking to learn from each
other,enjoy the friendship of people who had like interests, improve our skills. The club
also took an active roll in community service, using their combined talents to make toys
for children at Christmas time who were in the Children's Hospital, develop a
scholarship program for Rio Grande Woodworking schools, only to name a few of the
undertakings.
The club is led by our President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, who are
elected by the active members of the club. An appointed Steering committee is
appointed by the President and includes the chairman of various programs and activities
as well as other interested members. In addition to our officers and steering
committee the club maintains a Constitution, which is updated periodically, to reflect

The club has grown from a handful of charter member, many of whom, are still active
in the club, to over 200 members. We are proud of our club, our members, and the
community services we perform.
